Product features

• It is made of toughened glass. Due to the high mechanical strength of the surface layer of glass insulator, cracks are not easy to occur on the surface. The electrical strength of glass remains constant throughout its operation and the aging process is much slower than that of porcelain.
• Insulator is one of the key components in high voltage transmission line, its performance directly affects the whole the safety operation of the transmission line. Glass insulators are widely used because of their characteristics of zero self-breaking and easy maintenance.
• Using glass insulator, it can cancel the operation process of insulator of charged periodic preventive test. This is due to every damage to tempered glass causes damage to the insulator, which operators can easily find when patrolling the wire. When the insulator is damaged, glass fragments near the steel cap and iron foot get stuck, and the remaining part of the insulator is strong enough to prevent the string from breaking off. Insulator is a special insulating control which can play an important role in overhead transmission line. In the early years, insulators were mostly used in power poles. Gradually, they developed into a kind of dial-shaped insulator hanging at one end of the high type high-voltage wire connecting tower. The purpose of insulators is to increase the creepage distance. Insulators should not fail due to various electromechanical stresses caused by changes in the environment and electrical load conditions. Otherwise, insulators will not play a significant role and will damage the service life of the entire line.
