Product features:

• Using glass insulator, it can cancel the operation process of insulator of charged periodic preventive test. This is due to every damage to tempered glass causes damage to the insulator, which operators can easily find when patrolling the wire. When the insulator is damaged, glass fragments near the steel cap and iron foot get stuck, and the remaining part of the insulator is strong enough to prevent the string from breaking off. • It is made of toughened glass. Due to the high mechanical strength of the surface layer of glass insulator, cracks are not easy to occur on the surface. The electrical strength of glass remains constant throughout its operation and the aging process is much slower than that of porcelain.

During the 2008 long-term freezing rain and snowy weather in southern China,no abnormal circumstances occurred to glass insulators on transmission lines which were caused by conductor icing and collision with each other.The toughened glass has high shock strength because the toughened internal stress protective layer is on the glass surface of the insulator.AC/DC aerodynamic type products inside insulator string on transmission line adopt interval use(commonly known as arranging)to effectively prevent ice bridging and ice flashover from occurring.
